Member of the Prowlers of the Thieves' Guild
Full Title: Asha ros Liadan the Professional Prowler
Occupation: Licenced Cat Burglar, Investigative Journalist
Nationality: Llamedese
Citizenship: Morporkian
Gender: Female
Asha is a lithe young woman of Llamedese descent. Her skin is pale and unblemished save for a few freckles across her nose and cheeks. Above her pale green eyes she has a single scar running through her left eyebrow. Her hair is raven black, save for a single streak of silver over her left temple. She has a slender, feminine build.
As a licenced cat burglar in Ankh-Morpork, her official uniform consists of an eye mask, flat cap and a navy-striped jumper, though she tends to dress in dark shades of grey and black. She favours simple jewellery in Llamedese designs.
Born in Carreglasarbenymynydddduwrthyrafonwen in the secluded and rain drenched nation of Llamedos, Asha came to Ankh-Morpork as a young girl, and most of her memories of her homeland involve rain. She spent her youth playing with the urchins of Morpork until her mother found out, after which she was sent off to the Quirm College for Young Ladies. After being expelled for stealing from the teachers liquor supplies and selling it on to her classmates, she returned to Ankh-Morpork and was enrolled at the Guild of Thieves, Burglars and Allied Trades. In light of education at the College, she was given credit and exempt from escapology classes.
She showed a talent for thievery from early in her studies, and graduated with honours in breaking and entering, minoring in larcency. Armed with a licence to steal and an unusual accent, she began to work for the guild as an official cat burglar.
As she came of age, still somewhat naive in the ways of love, she began to notice she had a strange fascination with the students at the Ankh-Morpork Assassins' Guild. Following a series of awkward encounters in various dormitories, she became withdrawn, and left the city for several years.
Falling in with a band of smugglers, she discovered a more rugged criminal element -- unlicenced and illegal. She travelled with them for a time until the band was taken in Pseudopolis. Managing to evade caputre herself, she went to ground in the city. Under the alias "Lladrones", she began to operate out of Psuedopolis as an art thief.
Now a woman in her late-twenties, she has returned to Ankh-Morpork, where she has renewed her cat burglary licence. More recently, she began working as an investigative reporter for the Green Slab and within months, was promoted to editorial work before managing to secure the publishing rights and ownership of the newspaper.
A Llamedese family of some prestige, the ros Liadans are a bardic line, able to trace back their lineage (by ballad and composer) over many generations. Famous (in Llamedos) for their bards, the ros Liadans are widely respected (by other bards) and well known (by people that listen to bards).
Outside of the permanently rainy nation however, the line ended when Eoiwyn and Gwennyth ros Liadan, a famous bardic couple, passed away of Gnats. They are technically survived by their daughter, but since she's not a bard, she doesn't count.
Asha was raised traditionally in Carreglasarbenymynydddduwrthyrafonwen before the family emigrated to Ankh-Morpork.
Jo != Asha
I'm not famous for my consistency, but if I'm talking in my Llamedese-Morporkian "accent", I'm IC, if not, you can safely assume I'm OOC. I like to maintain the illusion that IC and OOC are entirely seperate.
