Full Title: Sipher the Unexpected Assassin of Raven House

He looks pissed.
Sipher is his Ohmnian name. As his last wish and testament, his father, Mr Sipher (Ohmnian name unkown), requested that he and his brother relinquish the family name.
Each son decided, although they could not deny their father his last request of them, that they also equally, could not totally abandon the family name.
Between them they decided to remain linked to the family. The first son taking the Ohmnian name of his father as a surname, the second son taking the surname of his father as his Ohmnian name.
And so the sons were renamed.
It is rumoured that although both did not remain so, both entered the proffesion of Contract Killers. With the wisdom of a father, and the will of a son.
Regardless of his brother's choices in life, Sipher decided that the Assassins guild of Ankh-Morpork, would remain his home after graduation from it's school.
Little is known, even less is published about the Sipher family.
What is known, is that it was a family revered in the world of Shadows.
For reasons that are unknown at the time of publishing. Mr Sipher (Of which most is published, due the the fact that the Assassins guild of Ankh-Morpork, keep meticulous records), was the first Sipher to take up the occupation of Contract Killer.
He asked his two sons, as his last wish and testament, to abandon the family name.
The reasons for this are unkown, or at the very least, unpublished.
Before Mr Sipher, the family had a reputation among the Nobles of Ankh. Although the reason for this are, once again, unpublished. (Although the Nobles of Ankh, have often been known to think highly of society's most skilled craftsmen, and this is the rumour most choose to believe)
On publishing we were unable to find out Mr Sipher's Ohmnian name, but it is rumoured to be known amoungst his friends.
This is indeed a family book, whose pages are still written today, but whose chapters are mostly lost to myth and legend (Or as the wise call them "Rumours").
Life is simply the beginning of a slow Death.
