The Assassins' Guild Charter
Introduction and definitions
As a member of the Guild of Assassins you are required to follow certain rules that pertain to inhumations and dealings with Assassins and non-Assassins. The rules themselves are a general guideline. Emphasis is placed more on the spirit of the rules.
Throughout this document the person who places the contract is referred to as the client. The person who has been contracted is referred to as the target.
Rules
- You are never to agree to an arranged inhume. This includes arranging with the target the details of the inhumation, such as location, time, whether or not money changes hands. It is also against the charter to arrange with the client or to give some of the money back to the client once the contract is closed.
- You are never to give out contract information. Including names of clients, targets and Assassins who have closed certain contracts.
- Do not interfere with another Assassin's operations against their will. This includes killing (inhuming is exempt) or stealing from guild members.
- Do not loot player killer corpses or steal quest items. We are neither grave robbers nor thieves.
- Poisons and explosives, whether sold in the guild or produced in a poison lab, are not to be sold, traded, or given to a non-assassin.
Harassment Policies and enforcement
Since this guild is PK based, PKs can and should expect Guild retaliation for excessive PK actions.
- Assassins created for the sole purpose of harassing in any way, shape or form will be removed from the Guild.
- Players who target an Assassin, simply because they are an Assassin will be handled with extreme prejudice.
- Players who attack Assassins repeatedly for failing an inhume after that contract has been closed will be dealt with by the Guild. So too will those who target an Assassin for successfully closing a contract.
Punishments range from reprimand (written or spoken) to sanctions and disavowal. Each case will be dealt with separately. All cases will be recorded, and all Guild Admin will be notified of actions.
